Today in Animation, we finally finished the final project we’ve been working on for the past few weeks. It has been a nightmare to work on, but we are all very glad to have finished it. We had to cut some planned parts from the animation, such as the host, because they were giving us too much trouble. Although it might not be the highest-quality animation, we still put immense amounts of effort into this, and we can all agree that we’re glad this is done. We divided the work among ourselves, Grace and I did the rigging, Grace, Aiden, and I did some modeling, texturing, and importing. I also did the After Effects work and camera keyframing, which wasn’t that difficult. The most difficult part was the importing, of which was absolute pain and suffering. This was because nothing was cooperating after being imported, especially with the host. Because of this, we had to scrap the host entirely. This project was fun for the most part, but it was also filled with immense mental pain and suffering, all of which is caused by Maya refusing to function most of the time. Other than this, the project wasn’t that bad and I look forward to possibly doing it again in Animation II.
